We are delighted to announce our role as exclusive financial advisor to Aqueos on sale to Michels

Archer Knight Holdings Limited (Archer Knight), a UK-based energy advisor is delighted to announce their client, Aqueos Corporation (Aqueos), a US-based international subsea & transitional energy service provider, has been acquired by Michels Holdings, Inc (Michels).

Speaking on behalf of Archer Knight, David Sheret, Executive Director, said:

“Enormous thanks to Ted and the Aqueos Corporation board & senior management team for putting their faith in Archer Knight to manage the transaction. This deal demonstrates our belief that placing energy transition-based industry knowledge at the forefront of sector specific M&A transactions leads to successful conclusions.

We would also like to extend our appreciation to Pat and all the Michels transaction team too for being extremely professional and courteous throughout the whole process. It was clear from early engagement that Michels were an outstanding choice as a strategic partner for Aqueos and we wish both organisations every success going forward.”

Speaking on behalf of Aqueos, Ted Roche, President and CEO said:

“When we decided to find a strategic partner organization to help us grow to the next level, we wanted to work with an advisory company who knew the energy transition space well and understood our services & value proposition. Archer Knight was that company. They helped us every step of the way and I can’t recommend them highly enough when it comes to M&A support.”

The deal strengthens Aqueos’ presence in the offshore energy, civil and renewable sectors. In addition, it provides the company with the necessary scale and balance sheet to accelerate its growth plan to become one of the leading offshore & marine construction companies.

The Michels family of companies is known as a US-based diversified global leader in energy and infrastructure construction. Aqueos will continue to operate as a separate and independent company with all Officers of the company remaining in their roles.

The Michels Family of Companies, founded in 1959, has over 8,000 staff worldwide, operating almost 17,000 heavy equipment assets. The family-owned and operated organization has an extensive history of providing construction infrastructure services. It has a solid on-shore marine construction capability and sees Aqueos as the ideal support partner to help deliver a wider array of marine-related construction services to its customers.

Speaking on behalf of the Michels Family of Companies, Pat Michels, President/CEO, Michels Corporation, said,

“We see Aqueos as a solid fit for our Group. There are several synergies already. Plus, Aqueos brings the expertise we can leverage as we continue to expand our service offering further offshore to meet the demands of our existing and new clients.”
