Speakers announced for inaugural Floating Energy Forum

It’s an exciting time for the offshore sector. Floating energy is a growing and competitive area of interest from right across industry.

Archer Knight is one of the headline sponsors for the Floating Energy Forum, a new virtual conference taking place in June.

To help support the inaugural Floating Energy Forum, Energy Maritime Associates Pte Ltd and Archer Knight (Holdings) Limited are supplying everyone who signs up to the event with an up-to-date data pack of over 300 FPSOs and Floating Wind Projects worldwide.

The free event will feature sector-specific experts discussing the key issues – including digitisation, asset life extension and redeployment opportunities.

Speakers for the event, held on 2 June, will include:

  • Judith Tetlow, from HSE

  • Christopher Bird, from Riskwell

  • John Butler, from TFI Marine

  • John Bell, of digital-twin software provider Akselos,

  • Ole Morten Skogland, from SubseaPartner

  • Cameron McNatt, of Mocean Energy

  • Stig Morten Helland from Altera Infrastructure

  • Tim Walsh a leading independent consultant

  • Rei Yasumuro, from Modec

Topics on the agenda will include the use of digital twin technology offshore, wave energy, and developing carbon capture storage.

Attendees will have exclusive access to an interactive virtual platform to gather information on future opportunities and link with key market players. In addition to the presentations, live Q&A sessions and panel discussions, the event will include a virtual networking space for real-time, face-to-face engagement, taking virtual networking to the next level.

The main sponsors of the event are Archer Knight and Energy Maritime Associates (EMA).

David Sheret, Archer Knight Executive Director and Co-Founder said: “We’re very pleased to be one of the main event sponsors of this forum. It will be a fantastic opportunity for asset managers, operators, service providers and technologists to engage and participate in discussions on what’s making the difference offshore, around the key topics which are influencing the future offshore energy market.”

What’s on the agenda?

The forum will focus on three main issues:

How digital solutions could change the industry – what it means for the floating sector and how it could change the industry as the energy transition progresses.

Extending the Life of Existing Assets and Asset Redeployment – how can the supply chain work together to maximise existing investment and bring greater value to the industry through innovative ideas and extended utilisation.

Future of Floating Energy – as the energy transition progresses how will companies use their technology and expertise to drive and become major players in this new market.
