After such a challenging year for subsea vessel operators what does the future hold?

With restrictions on movement due to the global pandemic, low oil prices and rising numbers of laid-up vessels, the sector is looking at ways to bounce back in 2021.

David Sheret, Archer Knight Executive Director will explore the topic at the Offshore Support Journal (OSJ) Asia conference on Wednesday 2 December, focusing on the most recent developments and commercial opportunities for vessel owners in the subsea market.

His presentation to conference attendees will include a helicopter view of the sector. He will look at how to identify areas for future deployment, such as construction and maintenance of infrastructure, surveying and cable installations.

Mr Sheret is also part of an expert panel discussion on expanding prospects in alternative offshore industries such as the decommissioning markets in southeast Asia and the energy transition opportunities in offshore wind and elsewhere.

OSJ Asia is a leading annual regional event for players in the OSV sector, including vessel owners, charterers, designers, shipbuilders, equipment manufacturers, technology innovators and financiers. For the first time, the two-day conference is being hosted online, with a virtual agenda.
