Community matters to us. We’re proud to support several individuals and teams from Aberdeen and Scotland, where we have our headquarters, and hope that our contributions can spur them on to even greater success.
Craig Lawrie - Golfer
Craig turned pro not long before Archer Knight was founded. Like his dad – former Open Champion Paul Lawrie – Craig is a ‘local boy done good’ and we’re pleased to see him go on to further success playing on the EuroPro tour.
Heather Macrae – Golfer
We’re proud to sponsor not one but two golfers. Dunblane-based Heather is a PGA qualified professional and former WPGA Champion and is also a well-respected coach. She won the Women’s PGA Professional Championship two weeks before she was scheduled to have surgery for cervical cancer surgery and has recovered to make a comeback in her sport.
Crombie Primary School
Westhill in Aberdeen is the centre for many oil and gas companies and the families the industry supports. We have been delighted to sponsor the school’s P4 football team. We are keen to sponsor smaller-scale community projects, whether financials or with our time.
In 2018, we raised £400 for the community facility in Aberdeenshire for people with additional needs. Based in Westhill, the centre is well known in the oil and gas community and has been a fantastic support for people across the region, including family and friends of our team members.
In 2020, we donated £1,000 to VSA's COVID-19 appeal. The appeal was set up to provide:
Tablets to help older residents make video calls to loved ones, maintaining visual contact.
Entertainment trolleys which include interactive digital technologies to keep residents' minds stimulated.
Mental health support and counselling sessions via video links.
